Clara Ladi Ejembi

Clara Ladi Ejembi, a Fellow of the National Postgraduate Medical College, (FMCPH) is a Professor of Public Health and a Consultant Community Physician working with the Department of Community Medicine, Ahmadu Bello University, Zaria, Nigeria.

Prof. Ejembi has over 40 years of experience teaching, practising, and researching public health. Her areas of interest are primary health care, epidemiology, and reproductive health, including gender and health.  She has been involved in training of various categories of health professionals, including community-based health workers, postgraduate medical professionals and PhD students. She started the Measure Evaluation- ABU Collaborative Monitoring and Evaluation Course in 2010 and was the foundation Course Director.  During her career, she has trained thousands of medical students, hundreds of MPH students and has supervised 38 fellowship/PhD candidates. She has researched and published widely in her areas of interest, with some of the research work informing national and global policies…

THE FOUNDER/EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

Jennifer Agbaji is a lawyer and humanitarian actor from Kaduna State, Nigeria. She is the founder and executive director of the Basileia Vulnerable Persons Rights Initiative, which engages and empowers vulnerable persons, especially women and girls, to live socially, economically fulfilled lives. Through the initiative’s GirLead Innovation Fellowship, girls gain access to education through online courses, webinars, and other resources. Jennifer also works with women and girls at internally displaced camps and mentors girls with disabilities.

Jennifer is an alumni of the Young African Leaders Initiative (YALI) and North East Social Innovation Fellowship. She serves in several leadership capacities including the National Female coordinator,  New Nigeria Movement, commissioner for Gender, Agriculture and Rural Development with Africa Youth Commission and Focal Person Kaduna State Association Against Child Sexual and Gender Based violence, and other coalitions of NGOs. Jennifer is a member of Education in Crisis and Conflict Network (ECCN) and is a trained facilitator.She has recieved several awards like Global peace citizen,GBV champion award, International youth leaders award she was nominated by the US Embassy for the Mandela Washington award .
